Experiencing a freak auto accident and dangerously getting close to suffering a stroke due to extremely high blood pressure in the ER, I left the hospital feeling very lucky to be alive and realized I had to make a change in my life. After a year of traveling on my own road to fitness and reaching a plateau, the Cycling Pigeon found me. Though I never had an interest getting on a bicycle that went nowhere, it has taken me on a journey I never thought I would travel. The Cycling Pigeon! Without much cardio experience, the class was extremely challenging, but I was determined to keep up with the most advanced riders. At first, there were many moments of feeling defeat and doubt as my body and mind struggled to keep the pace and form. With every sprint, jump, climb, hill and groove I was able to complete, the moments of defeat and doubt were replaced with feelings of victory and strength. Feeling a bit more adventurous, I added yoga to my program at the studio. Yoga has helped me to be in tune more with my physical and mental well being.
I have an eclectic musical taste for my personal playlists. But, you can expect to enjoy Alt-Rock, Hip Hop and R&B in my spin class.
Spin and Yoga at The Cycling Pigeon have become a very important part of my life that helped me find focus, relaxation, direction and health. I invite you to experience a fun, community driven studio with a supportive family that will make you want to come back time and time again.
